Are you sick and tired of playing on maps you know nothing about?

Then be sick no more! We've come up with a way to help fix your confusion without making you jump through a million hoops.

Join the server and play on a map you don't know too well or just havenn't seen before? Simply type in !mapguide and voila, your motd box will open and direct you to a guide of the map you're currently playing on!

So far, we're testing this feature on Chocolate only, and don't have many guides up yet. We currently have a guide up for the recently added 'cp_zinkentite_valley' located below!

Would you like to help write a guide or some strategies you found for a map? Contact Rowdy!

Thanks to Ozzzy for inspireing this idea! For that, he gets player of the week!

[2/26/2012 3:38:47 PM] Rowdy: Let's say you're in the server
[2/26/2012 3:39:02 PM] Rowdy: and we go to a map that you've never played before, immediately people are confused right?
[2/26/2012 3:39:09 PM] Rowdy: Because they don't get the idea, the setup, etc
[2/26/2012 3:39:32 PM] Rowdy: So why not make a command to pull up a simplified guide of the current map?
[2/26/2012 3:39:49 PM] Rowdy: Use the serverhop plugin in conjunction, since the website knows what map a server is playing
[2/26/2012 3:40:24 PM] Rowdy: That way, they can just use like, !mapinfo, and it pulls up a page with a picture of the map layout, along with some useful information

  1. Yeah that kind of sucks for example racing on a track that you haven't raced before.
